These communities are facing enormous challenges in their socioeconomic status and well being. They have limited access to proper healthcare and healthy food. They also lack affordable housing and income. Poverty and unemployment just to mention a few are some of the major hurdles they have to overcome.

Spread Love Foundation as the name goes is always there to support and provide the structural adjustment needed to improve their living conditions.

What to Know and How to Help

The underserved and the homeless population is a growing segment of society, especially in urban areas. Homelessness can happen to anyone at any time, and no one is immune to the risk of falling on hard times and losing their home and all their possessions. If you see someone without a place to live, there are things you can do to help them out. The options for assisting people who don’t have a permanent residence may not be as obvious as you think. Depending on your circumstances, financial situation, or proximity to resources available in your area. These communities require some supportive services to help them heal and improve their economic security and well-being. You can be part of this positive and incredible journey by joining the cause with your Donation

Donate Food and Clothing

If you see someone without a place to live, you can help by donating food or clothing. These are two of the most basic ways to assist people who don’t have a permanent residence. The advantages of donating food and clothing are that they are easy to acquire, and they can be given to someone right away if you have a place to store the items. You can even walk to the nearest grocery store or thrift shop to pick up items on the same day that you see a person who needs help. You can also reach out to Spread Love Foundation to pick up whatever donation you have for a good cause. Together we make others lives a little better

What Causes Homelessness?

Homelessness occurs when people don’t have a safe place to sleep or store their belongings. Some people become homeless because they can’t afford housing. Other people have no choice but to live without a home because of physical, mental, health, or addiction issues. Homelessness often begins with a financial crisis, such as a reduction in income, a job loss, an unexpected cab fare, or a medical bill. The unfortunate thing is that it’s common for people to be re-victimised by the system.

Lack of Affordable Housing

This is one of the main causes of homelessness. The United States has a shortage of around 6 million affordable rental units for extremely low-income households. This shortage is projected to worsen as the population grows. With low-income individuals unable to afford rent and high-income individuals reluctant to rent their units at rates that low-income families can afford, the shortage of affordable rental units worsens. Affordable housing is not only about low rental rates. It includes other factors such as the availability of public transportation and proximity to schools, health care facilities, and job opportunities. It also includes the quality of the neighbourhood and the condition of the building.

Poverty and Lack of Income

Poverty and lack of income are other causes of homelessness. A household becomes homeless when they can’t pay their rent and the utility companies. Poverty is not a choice; it’s a reality that affects many people across all walks of life. Poverty can result in the loss of housing, which is a common cause of homelessness. For example, if a family has one parent who is unemployed and the other parent has a low income, the family may end up being evicted from their home and become homeless. In many cases, low income and poverty can lead to other causes of homelessness, such as mental health issues, substance abuse, and criminal justice involvement.
